Have you ever heard about Pull&Bear?
It's a lovely Spanish label that focuses on casual, laid-back clothing and accessories for young people with a very urban style.
Personally, I like the clothing but I'm not the biggest fan either because the quality isn't great and since some of the items are simply brilliant I think it's a pitty they last for just one season.
But that didn't stop me from falling in love with these items:
In case you're wondering: YES, I'm a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge Florence + the Machine fan, and guess what? I'm going to see them live this summer! (CAN'T WAIT)
So I need this top ;)
I think Florence Welch is a genius, her voice is incredible and to top it off, she also has a wonderful sense of style. I have so much respect for this lady and you can be sure about the fact that you'll be reading about her on this blog again. :)
(And if you have some extra time on your hands be sure to check out this video, you'll be blown away. I know I was!)
“You’re considered superficial and silly if you are interested in
fashion, but I think you can be substantial and still be interested in
frivolity.” – Sofia Coppola
In case you didn't know her yet, meet this wonderful woman with both (a lot of) beauty and (a lot of) brains : Sophia Coppola!
She is one of the most talented women out there and I simply adore her. Sofia is an American screenwriter, film director, actress and producer, mother of 2 and living in Paris.
Oh, and did I mention: fashionista? Because, believe me she is!
Her taste is just... impeccable, really.
This amazing lady masters the art of simple pieces, worn together to create the
perfect laid-back look and a lovely Parisian charm. Minimalistic is the name of the game, but so if
comfort, shown through chunky, over-sized sweaters, skinny pants, fresh
pumps, and little shift dresses.
Having already worked on a few pieces together during the Venice Film Festival last year, Sofia teams up yet again with Louis Vuitton‘s studio design director Julie De Libran, this time to produce the entire Resort 2012 line.
“I told her I want a new wardrobe,” tells Sofia. “I’m happy to give my
opinion of, I wish I could have this or that.” And the
collection, with its distinct vintage theme, is all very Sofia. Harking
back to the 60s and 70s era, you can see short tunic-cut dresses, navy print
pajama pants, high-waisted leather-and-wool quilted skirts, and straight
ankle-length pants that all look as if they were pulled out of the
director’s own closet.
But her amazing taste, is just one of the many reasons I admire Sofia. Another, and more important one is her enormous talent as film director. There are just no words to describe the way her movies effect me, so I'll just show you:
The Virgin Suicides: one of my all time favorite movies and books. With the beautiful Kirsten Dunst in the lead.
Somewhere. One of the best movies ever, if you ask me.
And good news! Sofia is working on a new movie called 'The Bling Ring' with Emma Watson in the lead, can't wait! :)
So, how about you? Do you guys ♥ Sofia Coppola as much as I do? (;
Yes, I'm polluting the internet with yet another blog. ;)
But anyway: I am so excited to start blogging! I've been thinking about this for quite a long time and now I can finally start, hooray!
But before I start, let me introduce myself:
Hi, my name is Daphne, I'm 16 years old and live in Belgium. My biggest dreams are to live in Paris and travel the world one day with my true love. (yes, I know, i'm the most original girl on the planet...).
Nice to meet you!

In my first post ever I'd like to introduce you to one of my favorite fashion brands: Comptoir des Cotonniers.
The clothes are so so so beautiful, feminine and refined, I would just buy every single item if I could! :)
It's so much fun to choose pieces
from the collections I feel comfortable with, fabrics I enjoy, and
colors that match my moods.
Comptoir des Cotonniers collections enable women to suit their own taste and find just the right balance, combine a
feminine item with something of a more masculine feel, or reinterpret a
functional piece with a feminine twist. To nurture that close connection
with women, Comptoir des Cotonniers innovated by bringing its
collections to life with anonymous models: real mother & daughter
pairs who embody the brand values with enthusiasm and pleasure. I just love that, it just feels more personal, don't you think? Like you are a part of the brand or something. These
values of authenticity and proximity are expressed, among others, by the
extraordinary, infinite richness of the loving, touching and spirited
bond between mothers and their daughters.
The Comptoir boutiques have a cosy, intimate and luminous vibe. I always feel right at home!
Comptoir des Cotonniers is an amazing and sincere brand that respects all human beings and the environment, it chooses to collaborate with ethical brands
such as Veja or Nu, and supports year after year different humanitarian
organizations such as Doctors of the World, Vivre comme Avant or Toutes
à l’Ecole or W4 (Women’s Worlwide Web).
Comptoir des Cotonniers draws its inspiration from these core values.
By observing and listening to these multi-faceted women, it creates
collections that match their tastes and individual style.
Here are some of my favorite looks from the spring / summer 2012 collection. Enjoy!
